Amtrak: Daily Service between New York City and Downtown Rutland, by way of Albany on the Ethan Allen Express Train.

 

By Bus

Marble Valley Regional Transit District (MVRTD): Generally known as “The Bus”, MVRTD has been providing service to the residents of the greater Rutland, Vermont area since 1976. Routes include the immediate Rutland area, Brandon, Castleton, Fair Haven, Killington, Ludlow, Manchester, Mendon, Middlebury, Poultney, Proctor and West Rutland.

Addison County Transit Resources: Otherwise known as ACTR, the Addison Country Transit Resources provides transportation from Rutland to Middlebury.

Connecticut River Transit: Provides connections between Ludlow and Bellows Falls. At these locations an individual can connect with Greyhound Lines for travel to more distant points.

Vermont Translines: A premier coach traveling east along Route 4 from Rutland, with service to the White River Junction and Hanover, NH, areas.

 

By Plane

Rutland Southern Regional Vermont Airport: A few miles away from Downtown with flights arriving direct from Boston daily on Cape Air.  There is non-stop daily air service between Boston and the Rutland Southern Regional Vermont Airport.
