ANNUAL EVENTS

The Downtown Rutland Partnership holds a number of annual events throughout the year. Below is an average timeline of all the great things downtown has to offer!

Friday Night Concert Series – FREE

View Gallery

A free, outdoor concert series that takes place on Center Street throughout July. The street closes down and local businesses and vendor set up outside. This fun and casual series draws the community together to enjoy music, outdoor dining, shopping, children’s activities and more. The “Pit” parking lot on the corner of Center & Wales Streets transforms into a unique, amphitheater-like concert venue, with great acoustics.

This past summer of 2016 we were host to Taylor Hicks, 2006 American Idol Winner, Lou Gramm, The Original Voice of Foreigner and Badfish: A Tribute to Sublime.

Thanks to our 2016 sponsors: VELCO, Merchants Bank, OMYA, FairPoint Communications, Angry Orchard Hard Cider, and Samuel Adams

Sidewalk Sales

The end of July and start of August has marked the Annual Sidewalk Sales for years. This 2-day open-air market spans from lower Center Street around the corner to Merchants Row, drawing out sale tents and outdoor dining from businesses along the way. Saturday features a variety of family entertainment as well as local artists, crafters, food vendors and live music from area musicians and the Rutland Mini Maker Faire, which showcases dozens of makers, crafters, inventors, and entrepreneurs.

At the 2016 event we featured Sawyer Fredericks, 2015 Winner of The Voice.

Hops on Top: Craft & Micro Brew Festival

Starting in 2015, this event was a fun and new event for downtown, taking place on the top of the LAZ Parking Garage on West Street. Taste a variety of area brews, listen to live music, graze on delicious snacks, and take in great views of the city with some friends!
