Friday Night Concert Series – FREE

Friday, July 28, 6-10 PM: featuring disco group, The Trammps
A free, outdoor concert series that takes place on Center Street throughout July. The street closes down and local businesses and vendor set up outside. This fun and casual series draws the community together to enjoy music, outdoor dining, shopping, children’s activities and more. The “Pit” parking lot on the corner of Center & Wales Streets transforms into a unique, amphitheater-like concert venue, with great acoustics. Opening acts begin at 7 PM, headliners at 8:15 PM. Friday, August 4, 9 AM- 10 PM: featuring Ken Block & Drew Copeland of Sister Hazel
Saturday, August 5, 9 AM- 3 PM
The end of July and start of August has marked the Annual Sidewalk Sales for years. This 2-day open-air market spans from lower Center Street around the corner to Merchants Row, drawing out sale tents and outdoor dining from businesses along the way. Enjoy a variety of family entertainment as well as local artists, crafters, food vendors and live music from area musicians. See details

The Rutland Halloween Parade is a historic tradition for Vermonters for over 50 years. Downtown Rutland comes alive each October with floats from merchants and organizations to get you into the spirit of Halloween! The parade has a strong superhero theme and has been the setting for a number of comic book adventures, including Batman and Thor. Read more about the history of the parade here.

Santa’s Arrival & Tree Lighting

Santa visits us in Downtown every winter and helps to light the tree in Depot Park. Enjoy a night of caroling, hot chocolate, goodies, and the opportunity to meet & greet Santa following the tree lighting. Head to the Paramount Theatre for free a double feature movie and photo booth with Santa immediately following. This is a wonderful community event that helps to kick off the holiday season!
