Valley Regional Transit District (MVRTD), generally known
as "The
Bus" is in its 24th year of service to the residents of
the greater Rutland, Vermont area.
"The Bus" is the largest non-urban public transportation system
in the State of Vermont and as such provides transportation
to the general public throughout Rutland County as well as
to Social and Human Service Agencies, schools, and area business.
"The Bus" provides an enhanced level of self-sufficiency for
the elderly, disabled, and transportation disadvantaged who
rely on public transportation. "The Bus" also serves a growing
population committed to the environmental benefits of public
transit use Vermont. |

is located at the junction of U.S. Routes 4 and 7 - accessible

Ethan Allen Express train can make your trip from New York

you off right in Downtown! Taxi service and car rental services
await your arrival.
Vermont Transit makes bus travel easy with a
regular schedule of trips in and out of its Downtown Rutland terminal.
The bus terminal is located conveniently in Downtown with daily
service to and from every direction. By air there's daily non-stop
service from Boston. The Rutland Airport is just a few miles away. |
