GRANT CONTEST QUALIFICATION GUIDELINES

• Applicant must represent a NEW business to Downtown Rutland…

• Relocation of pre-existing downtown businesses does not qualify for this program.

• Application must include a complete business plan and pro-forma.

• New business must be located in a first floor, ground level and vacant space within the Downtown Rutland District.

• Retail businesses applicants will be given special consideration for this program.

• A $1,000 per month rental cap will be issued to successful applicant.

• Award winner must sign Three (3) year lease with property owner.

If business moves or closes within their three-year lease period they will be required to repay the full grant amount to the granting party.
