The Downtown Rutland Partnership serves the needs of the Rutland Redevelopment Authority and the Downtown Rutland property owners and business proprietors.
The Partnership enters into yearly contracts with the RRA to execute the objectives of promoting, marketing, and developing business and enhancing the downtown for the benefit of the property owners and business owners.
Staffed by professionals – an Executive Director and two coordinators, marketing/special events and office coordinator – the DRP produces an annual program plan which covers four program areas: marketing, community relations/special events, streetscape, and business development.
The DRP acts as a clearinghouse and referral service for the District’s retail, specialty and office space.
Each year the DRP produces a comprehensive marketing program designed to continue to bring people to shop, eat, and be entertained in Downtown Rutland. The program also coordinates maps, street banners, holiday lighting, streetscape maintenance, decorations, and cooperative advertising opportunities for its members. Special events include Friday Night Live, Sidewalk Sales, Harvest Festival, and Santa’s Arrival & Tree lighting.
Each program area is overseen by staff with the assistance of advisory committees made up of board members, Downtown business and property owners, and other supporters of Downtown Rutland.
