When I picture the
trains of yesteryear as they soared through Vermont,
I think of the farms, and the farm animals, the
vegetable gardens that produced our food, and the
wildlife who freely shared our lives together in
peace and harmony. I also realized the growth that
was needed to survive and the wondrous trains that
brought jobs, Business, and a new communication
to the outside world. Today, both the farms and
the trains continue their struggle to remain here,
still holding on together, hand in hand…...headin’
forward down the track.
I would especially like to thank my husband Dick
who spent countless hours preparing my train for
painting and who is always there to support me through my
many artistic ventures.
