The first: My grandfather,
Patsy Santo an interior and exterior house painter
in the summer and a landscape artist in the winter.
My favorite oil painting from childhood was his
composition depicting the four seasons of Vermont.
The second: My husband, Odell Johnston, Sr., and
I opened a bakery, Creative Cookery, in 1975. My
joy in this endeavor was and continues to be designing
and decorating wedding cakes.
The third: Our daughter, Catherine, is getting married
in June 2006. Love is in the air!!!
Vermont is a destination for weddings. Every season
couples come from far and wide to be married here.
The wedding cake is a traditional part of the wedding.
Young love has inspired artists from the dawn of
time. So there you have it…The Love Train!
