Four Seasons Aboard

I was inspired by my family heritage
of working on the railroad to participate in the
All Aboard Rutland project. My grandfather laid
the track, and my great uncle was a conductor of
one of the engines. The Whippet is modeled after
the freight train, Old No. 28, dressed in 1939 style
with black paint and silver trim. The train features
a downtown Rutland scene on one side, and a historic
1909 view of the Round House, Howe Center and River
Street Bridge on the other side. The train also
features the four seasons of Vermont. The top of
the train shows the present-day Rutland Station.
Thank you to Robert Ekstrom and Sal Barucco for
helping me on my train.
